This Turkish cezve, the authentic style used to make Turkish coffee all throughout Turkey, will have you sipping your thick, strong coffee from a tiny cup while you nibble on a sweet piece of lokum as you dream of being in Istanbul. What appears to be quite a simple procedure is actually a lovely art. After you put the desired amount of coffee and water into the cezve depending on how strong you like it, remember to let the mixture boil up to the surface three times before pouring it into the cup. Here a word of advice. Don't attempt to pour the coffee from an acrobatically high distance into the small cup unless you've got a well-trained eye, excellent hand-eye coordination and Turkish blood.
